ABOUT US

So Which One's Junior?

We'll answer these questions (and more!) for the benefit of those just passing through or staying awhile...

Several years ago in our adopted home of Nelson County, we were back-deck party regulars that just happened to have near-savant recollection of 60's and 70's radio tunes (having given up on using those psychic skills for lottery numbers and world domination), Rob was channeling the eclectic combination of XTC, Neil Young, Adrian Belew, etc., and hence a dual-guitar friendship with Steve was forged at Doxtoi with a little help from Jose. And even though Rob could play bass in addition to guitar, drums, and about any instrument he put his hands on, he was blessed with just two hands leaving S & B to search for a bass player. Easier said than done, and much time that followed was spent swimming through a sea of demos sent our way (one standout being Tim Trotter's "Rubber Chicken Factory"). We were lucky enough to run into Charlie Spradlin, who gave two great years as bass player before returning to his bluegrass roots.

Fast forward to the here and now, and 70+ shows later, we are Junior Moment having a heck of a good time out there playing what is now a solid base of originals blended with a constantly evolving, eclectic group of covers. Depending on the venue, it may be electric, or acoustic, or both, with surprise (even to us) guests along the way.

Every gig has had a story of its own, and some of those tales will be woven in the new songs we've penned and are working out to bring to you. For those of you who've been along for the ride THANKS, and keep coming, y'know there's going to be more fun in store....
